In my work, I try to provoke emotion into my viewers. Ever since I've been experimenting with my pieces, I've loved showing things that are gruesome or sad to see. I have struggled with depression, self harm, and other mental illnesses. All of these things are very taboo topics and my goal is to force people to think about the hard things in life.
When creating my work, I usually brainstorm some ideas and then take a poll to see which idea my peers think is the most fitting for my style. However, I'm still trying to explore my own technique to create a consistency in my art. My work reflects my emotions during the creating of the piece. Some time I include text from song lyrics or typography for thoughts that I was having in that moment.
I've always loved drawing since I was a child. As I got older, art started to mean more to me. I was bullied and alone, but I never really knew how to express that in a healthy way. I started being more creative and conceptual once I entered high school. This allowed me to express my true emotions in a somewhat secretive and healthy way. Now, art in my life has let me make mistakes. It's let me experiment. It's let me test boundaries. It's helped me find myself.
