Most of my work is driven by experimentation. I’ve been using mixed media and portraying an array of subjects depending on what I'm experiencing in the moment. My process is very impromptu because I base my art off of current situations and emotions that I am feeling. My goal is not only to try and make the audience feel something, but to express myself through art as a healthy release of my pent up emotions.
Lately, I've been experimenting with my pieces that depict gruesome or taboo themes. I have struggled with depression, self harm, and other mental illnesses and I sometimes include these topics into my pieces as well. I've always loved drawing since I was a child. As I got older, I started being more creative and conceptual. This now allows me to express myself in a way that I didn’t have before. As I continue making work, I want to dive deeper into certain techniques and hone my style. |
